How Juvederm® XC Works
Hyaluronic acid is a substance that occurs naturally in the skin to hydrate and keep the skin smooth, healthy, and looking youthful. The amount of hyaluronic acid in the skin diminishes as we age leading to the loss of volume and structure and the creation of wrinkles and folds. Juvederm XC safely replaces your skin’s lost hyaluronic acid and adds volume and structure reducing the appearance of wrinkles and folds.
Juvederm XC is a gel designed with a smooth consistency. This facial filler contains the local anesthetic called lidocaine. The lidocaine in Juvederm XC helps increase your comfort during the treatment. Dr. Rai injects Juvederm XC into the dermis of the areas you wish to have treated. Juvederm XC gently adds volume to the soft tissue and smoothes away wrinkles.
Juvederm XC is a unique facial filler that stands apart from the other hyaluronic facial fillers. Juvederm XC is manufactured with the process called HYLACROSS™ technology.
