The actual procedure may take several hours, and is performed in our out-patient surgery center. Surgery may be done under local or general anesthesia, and most patients can return home the same day as long as someone is available to drive you home and stay for a day or two if needed. A non-strenuous work schedule can be resumed ten days to two weeks after the surgery, but special make-up will probably still be needed to camouflage bruising.
