Gen X: A New Generation of Plastic Surgery Consumers

According to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ASAPS), Generation X accounts for a larger portion of plastic surgery consumers than the Baby Boomers. In the coming years, the plastic surgery demand among Generation X is likely to increase.

Baby Boomers – people born between 1946 and 1964 – made up 28 percent of the total 2010 cosmetic surgeries and procedures, according to ASAPS. Generation X – people born between 1965 and 1979 – accounted for 43 percent. Interestingly, there are fewer people belonging to Generation X than to the Baby Boom generation.
